Tour Highlights: Shanti Stupa, Leh Local Market
On your arrival at Leh Airport, meet our tour representative who will assist you with your transfer to the reserved hotel. Today is specially kept for acclimatization, allowing your body to adjust to the high altitude of Ladakh. In the evening, visit the iconic Shanti Stupa (Peace Pagoda), perched on a hilltop offering panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding snow-clad peaks. Later, take a leisurely stroll around the bustling Leh market, famous for exquisite Pearl and Coral jewelry along with local handicrafts. Spend the rest of the day as per your choice, relaxing or exploring nearby cafes.

After breakfast, embark on a fascinating Indus Valley sightseeing tour. Start with Shey Monastery, once the summer capital of Ladakh kings, known for its impressive 7.5-meter high gilded Buddha statue. Proceed to Thiksey Monastery, one of the region’s largest and most architecturally stunning gompas, offering breathtaking views of the valley. Visit Hemis Monastery, the wealthiest and largest in Ladakh, famed for its vibrant summer festival. Return to Leh for lunch, and then continue to Stok Palace, still home to the royal family of Ladakh, and explore Matho Monastery, renowned for preserving intricate 17th-century paintings and hosting the unique Oracle Festival. In the evening, unwind back in Leh.
